What is going on?

I was just reading about what happened on Cronulla Beach yesterday and it makes me so sad and so angry. I don’t think I am going to be able to articulate my feelings about it at all as I am so upset.

And how can John Howard say that his warnings about terrorism have nothing to do with it and how can say he that ethnic gangs are acts of tribalism but what happened on the beach yesterday wasn’t and how can he say that nobody in this country has the right to take the law into their own hands when that is exactly what he has done in the last couple of months. He makes me so angry.

I guess you can add me to the list of people who will be arrested on the new sedition laws.

  1. i don’t think you can blame john howard on yesterdays violence.

I think you can blame it on muliti-cultrasim, and its policy. Because in essence australia will never assimilate together. Instead we have little individual communitys all living in seperate places in australia.

if he makes you so angry, then take a chill pill, and a deep breath. Australia is heading down the path of america – and more of it is due to our pathetic laws.

Yesterday you saw freedom of speech. Isn’t this what you are wanting? Except when freedom of speech gets out of hand look what happens.

  2. That’s such utter bull shit. Multi-cultralism is why Australia is largely peaceful.

Australia isn’t really as ghettoed as you think. Multi-cultralism does work. Go to any number of primary schools in Sydney and look at the mix of students. Do the kids all hang around with their own ethnic groups?

Generally from what I have seen that is not the case.

Assimilation is inherently violent and leads to serious long term problems. Look at what our attempts at assimilating Aboriginal people has done. We have taken once pride self supporting peoples and made them dependent on us.

Freedom of speech is very important. It is not the reason for the what happened. If you want to blame a freedom perhaps freedom of assembly would be the one to target. We don’t actually have any Bill Of Rights though in Australia… Shame.

  3. Who is this pro john Howard person who won’t write his name? Strange. Yeah i have to check myself to not be racist but atleast i check myself. i don’t think John howard has that ability.
