Book Suggestions

Anyone read anything good lately they would recommend to me.  Both fiction and non fiction.  Really feel like something good.

  1. I’m not much of a reader, I only really like crime/action. I like fast paced stuff. So as you may remember from my blog posts, I’ve made my way through all of Ian Rankin’s Inspector Rebus novels. May not be your cup of tea though?!

  2. I’ve just started reading one called ‘The Help’ which so far is great.

I just finished reading one which was ridiculous. I wont recommend that.

If I think of another one I have read and enjoyed recently will tell you.

Is it easy to get English books there?

  3. Jesus out to sea – James Lee Burke
    The Lot – Michael Leunig
    Caleb’s crossing – Geraldine Brooks
There is no dog – Meg Rosoff
    Black beauty – Anne Sewell
Music and silence – Rose Tremain
The Phantom tollbooth – Norton Juster
Listening to country – Ros Moriaty
And what do you do, Mr Gable? – Richard Flanagan
Women of letters – Marieke Hardy and Michaela McGuire
Oranges and sunshine – Margaret Humphreys

  4. Mr Rosenblum’s List. Light and sweet and sad and ultimately feelgood. About grief and exclusion and friendship and hope and family and a little bit of magic.
